Janakkala’s summer job vouchers will be distributed on 1 Feb.

The Municipality of Janakkala is distributing 25 summer job vouchers to promote youth employment. The summer job vouchers can be applied for from 1 February 2026.

A summer job voucher is a municipality-paid support of 250 or 500 euros to the employer who hires a 15–24-year-old for summer work for two or four weeks.
The young person applies for the voucher and they are granted to young people who have not previously been employed with the help of a voucher. The payment is made to the employer after the employment has ended. The young person must be a resident of Janakkala, but the employer, a company or, for example, an association, can be located anywhere.
Janakkala municipality’s summer job positions will be open for application later than usual, on 19 March 2026. Summer jobs are available for two or four weeks, e.g. in daycares, children’s camps and park and sports areas. In total the municipality will hire about 75 young people. Selections will be made based on applications no later than the end of April.
