Janakkala’s recruitment fair brings together young people and job opportunities

Janakkala municipality will organize the Duuni recruitment fair on February 10, 2026 from 9:30–11:00 in Tervakoski and from 12:30–14:00 in Turenki.
The event, organized by employment services, youth services and educational institutions, aims to connect employers looking for workers with young people looking for jobs, especially summer jobs.

– The first hastily assembled event was so well received that the recruitment fair are now being held for the fourth time, says business advisor Sanni Nyman from Janakkala’s employment services.

So far 14 employers have registered for the events, many of them major local employers.

– Some employers will interview and hire workers on the spot, Nyman says.

Although the summer job situation has been reported to be more challenging than usual, Nyman says there are still plenty of jobs.
– Large employers won’t get through the summer without summer employees, and Puuhamaa wouldn’t operate at all without them, Nyman notes.

In addition, there will be educational institutions and other actors on site where you can get information, for example about entrepreneurship and job seeking in general.

Students from Janakkala upper secondary school, 9th graders from lower secondary schools, and students from Tavastia will attend as part of the school day, but any young person is welcome to attend the fair. Employers can still sign up to participate.
