Janakkala municipality’s English website has been published

The website of the Janakkala municipality has been published entirely in English. Previously, the municipality had a limited site in English which focused mainly on serving tourists. The newly launched language version corresponds to the Finnish website, meaning the pages mirror each other and the navigation structure is the same.

The pages have been translated with the assistance of artificial intelligence using the Valu AI Translate tool. The tool was developed by Valu Digital Oy, the administrator of our website. After the AI-generated translation, the pages are reviewed, possibly edited, and published. The tool does not publish anything independently.

With the new, broader English website, we aim to better serve foreign-background residents of Janakkala, tourists, international companies, and others interested in the municipality. Now all basic information can be easily found on the website in English as well, although there are still some shortcomings. For example, attachments are still only available in Finnish. Additionally, agendas and minutes from decision-making bodies will not be translated into English for the time being.
