Information and discussion sessions on the school network

As part of the municipal council’s decision on Janakkala municipality’s financial balancing program, the preparation includes the closure of four schools so that the Heinäjoki and Vähikkälä schools would be closed in summer 2026 and the Tanttala and Virala schools in summer 2027. The aim is for the council to decide on the matter on April 27, 2026.

Three identical events will be held on the topic

The events will provide more information on the background of the school network change and the preparation of the closures, as well as an opportunity for questions and discussion with elected officials and municipal officials. Welcome!
