A beginner swimming course for adults starts at Tervakoski swimming hall in January
Tervakoski swimming hall is launching a swimming course aimed at adults – a place for those who want to learn to swim or strengthen their water skills.
The group is aimed especially at adults who do not yet know how to swim or who need more confidence in the water, for example because of weak swimming skills, discomfort, or nervousness. The goal is to provide a safe, calm, and encouraging environment where each participant can progress at their own pace. The swimming hall will be closed to others during the sessions.
The adult swimming course focuses on the basics: getting accustomed to the water, breathing technique, floating, and the fundamentals of swimming in different stroke styles. Instruction takes place in small groups, which also allows for adaptive guidance and consideration of the learner’s needs. No prior experience is required – it is enough that you want to learn and dare to begin.
The course instructor is an employee with long experience in swim instruction. For many adults, refreshing or starting to learn swimming can feel like a big step, so the lessons emphasize gentle progression and a positive learning experience.
The swimming course offers an excellent opportunity to strengthen personal water safety, increase wellbeing, and open doors to new exercise routines. Participants also receive safe tips for independent practice and for developing their swimming skills.
Registration opens on 29.12.2025 at 8:00 on our website. Places are limited.
