Home voting
A person whose mobility or ability to act is restricted, making it difficult to reach a polling place or advance voting place without unreasonable difficulties, can register to vote at home. An informal carer living in the same household as the person eligible for home voting can also vote at home. The carer’s voting must be reported to the central electoral committee at the same time as registering for home voting.
Home voting takes place during the advance voting period from April 2 to April 8, 2025, from 9 AM to 8 PM at a specifically notified time for the voter.
Registration for home voting must be done no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2024, by 4 PM, either by phone at 050 573 4038 or in writing to Janakkala Municipal Central Election Committee, Juttilantie 1, 14200 Turenki. Registration can also be done by a person chosen by the voter on their behalf. Additional information about home voting can be obtained from the secretary of the central electoral committee.
Advance voting in institutions
Voting in institutions takes place during the advance voting period from April 2 to April 8, 2025. Voting times will be announced in more detail in the departments of the institutions. Only those receiving care in the institutions may vote.
Notification of voting rights
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency will send a notification card about voting rights to everyone registered in the voter registry whose address is known, no later than March 20, 2025. If there is an error in the information on the notification card or if the notification has not arrived, a correction request must be made to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency using the correction request form by March 28, 2025, before 4 PM.
Don’t forget your ID
You must present proof of identity at the polling place, such as a driver’s license, passport, police-issued ID, or a Kela card that has a photo.
