Löyttymäki
Löyttymäki has historically had a manor whose owners included the well-known professor and statesman Leo Mechelin in the 19th century. Artists Helene Schjerfbeck and Maria Wiik also influenced the manor’s surroundings. The artist-professor Onni Oja is also from Löyttymäki. His memorial plaque is located on the side of the stone in front of the school.
The eastern shore of Lake Mallinkaistenjärvi is untouched, largely wild, and regionally important recreational area. The most significant sites, such as the ash grove by the shore of Saparo, are protected due to their natural values. On the municipality-owned shores, there are three lean-to’s for recreational use and a marked nature trail.
Löyttymäki has a joint village association with Jokimaa.
