Luulionlahti birdwatching tower
The Luulionlahti birdwatching tower offers a great vantage point for observing forest animals, songbirds, and other wildlife in the area. Bring your binoculars, a bird guidebook, and some tasty snacks — the tower makes for an enjoyable and easily accessible outing for the whole family!
Directions to the bird tower (Navigate to Savilahdenpiha, Tervakoski)
From the center of Tervakoski, take Vähikkäläntie toward Puuhamaa for approx. 400 meters. Turn right onto Tervajoentie, then right again onto Tammirannan puistotie – continue via Savilahdentie and finally Savilahdenpiha. You can park at the lot on the right at the end of Savilahdentie. From there, follow the pedestrian path along the shoreline. The boardwalk to the tower starts at the shoreline just before the path turns uphill. There’s also an information board at the site.
The tower was completed in 2018 as a project by Tervakosken Suruton ry, funded through the Linnaseutu program. The design and construction were led by Jouko Alhainen with the help of local volunteers. The land is owned by the Municipality of Janakkala.
