Welcome to Laurinmäki, all those interested in history and cultural heritage in its many forms, regardless of age, background or barter goods. As in previous years, the traditional old-fashioned market will take over the entire museum area from 14:00 to 18:00. The day will be filled with all kinds of experiences. The program includes music, traditional workshops, market stalls and the magic of stories.

At the Yellow House, a cozy program tent will host performances between 14:00 and 18:00. The event opens with Taika and Töminä, known from Metsänväki, bringing musical greetings from nearby forests, followed by atmospheric accordion music. Also on stage: Pressankatti’s children’s concert “Echoes of History”, and to conclude the day, Mammas Artsoppa’s storytelling concert inspired by the Middle Ages and folk tradition.

At the museum, a lively traditional market in the spirit of old times, a theatre yurt and the Taara Arts area, where visitors can make a medieval instrument, build a twig animal village, bark boats and more. A storytelling archery adventure will take place in the museum area from 15:00 to 16:15. In the theatre yurt, Theatre Taigamatto’s puppet show “The Sauna Elf” will be performed at 14:30 and 17:30.

The Yellow House café is open throughout the event (14:00–18:00). The museum’s outdoor toilets and bins are available for use.

Come join us as a vendor! The registration link (the form is in Finnish) for vendors and exhibitors is open until August 15.

Entry to the event is free of charge, but bring a bank card and cash for market and café purchases.
