Poetry exhibition: Can you listen to me?

At Janakkala’s main library, throughout the event week the VEERAT project-produced poetry exhibition “Can You Listen to Me?” is on display. The exhibition is compiled from poems created in women’s peer groups. The poems address life, intimate partner violence and hope. They have been created through collective writing work, where several women contributed to the building of a single poem. Thus the poems contain both the voice of the individual and the community. The exhibition’s comics are by comic artist Emilia Laatikainen. Free admission.
The exhibition is open according to the library’s opening hours: Mon–Wed 12:00–19:00 and Thu–Fri 12:00–16:00.
