Ice rinks

The rinks will be prepared for skating according to weather conditions in the following maintenance classification order:

  • Freezing work starts with the large 1st class rinks, after which it moves on to the next maintenance classification rinks.
  • 1st maintenance classification rinks are maintained every day, including weekends and holidays.
  • On weekdays, 1st maintenance classification rinks are serviced first, followed by the next classification rinks.
  • Among the 3rd maintenance classification rinks, priority is given to those in use by schools and kindergartens.

Tervakoski Skating Area

2 lit areas and a free skating area as well as changing rooms.
Changing rooms and rinks open Mon-Fri 08:00-20:30, Sat-Sun 10:00-20:30. The rink is lit during opening hours; if the lights are off, the rink is closed.
If vandalism occurs, opening hours will be reduced.

Kansanpuisto Skating Area

Lukiotie 1, 14200 Turenki
2 lit areas, a free skating area, and changing rooms.
Changing rooms and rinks open Mon-Fri 08:00-21:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-21:00. The rink is lit during opening hours; if the lights are off, the rink is closed.
If vandalism occurs, opening hours will be reduced.

Moisio Skating Area

Current information about the ice rinks

The municipality publishes updates about the status of the ice rinks on its website.

Additionally, there is a Facebook group Janakkala Ski Trails and Ice Rinks, where current information about Janakkala’s ski trails and ice rinks can be found (no Facebook login required).

The group is maintained by the municipality of Janakkala, but anyone using the trails or skating can post updates about the status of the trails and ice rinks.

Report or post a status image. You can also report potential hazard areas (remember to inform the municipality through the feedback channel on the municipality’s website).
