Letters of Intent with associations

Letters of intent help associations apply for, among other things, state project funding, and they also guide the implementation of the association’s activities.

Associations, foundations, and federations as providers of statutory services

The municipality can purchase statutory services from associations. However, following the wellbeing services reform, municipalities now have fewer responsibilities related to these services.

Local and regional associations as service providers

The municipality purchases services from local associations, such as club activities, trail and ski track maintenance, and cleaning. From regional associations, the municipality may purchase services like childcare or club activities.

Collaboration without formal agreements

Associations carry out activities with their own funding. The municipality supports these by offering facilities, promoting events, and enabling activities in other ways.

Visibility

The municipality may purchase advertising space or visibility in association publications, at facilities, during events, or on clothing (e.g. team uniforms).
