Janakkala Water is responsible for the distribution of drinking water and sewage in its service areas.  There are over 3000 properties connected to the Janakkala Water network.

The definition of the water supply service area is based on the current water supply law.  The service areas for drinking water distribution and wastewater sewage are presented in the maps of the service areas of Turenki, Kirkonkylä, Nuoliala, Tervakoski, and Leppäkoski.

According to Section 10 of the Water Supply Act, the water supply facility has a duty to ensure the water supply in its service area, and properties are required to connect to the water and sewage systems. The municipal environmental protection authority grants exemptions from the connection obligation based on the criteria defined in Section 11 of the law.

In addition to its own service areas, Janakkala Water supplies water to four water cooperatives located in Janakkala and manages the wastewater treatment for three of them.
