SFC Hämeenhelmi
Hämeenhelmi is a cheerful and welcoming camping area in Janakkala’s Leppäkoski, where it is possible to stay in a caravan, motorhome, or tent. During the summer season, the price of accommodation includes the soft heat from a unique wood-fired sauna during public sauna slots. The area has a kiosk, sanitary facilities, two saunas, a kitchen, communal living areas, children’s play areas inside and outside, a grill hut, a small sauna with a hot tub, and a swimming pool for children in the summer. Hämeenhelmi is conveniently located with good transport connections, just 3 km from the Helsinki-Tampere motorway (Route 3). The nearest shop and pharmacy are 5 km away in Tervakoski. The Puuhamaa amusement park is only 6.5 km away.
Motorhome Parks in Tervakoski and Turenki
The municipality of Janakkala offers free motorhome parks during the summer season for motor vehicles by the Alasjärvi beach in Tervakoski next to Puuhamaa (the road to the beach turns off from Tietyntie shortly after passing Puuhamaa when driving from the town) and by Ahilampi in Turenki (Kiramontie), next to the marina.
The motorhome parks are designated for short-term stays for mobile recreational vehicles and overnight stays for one night only.
The areas are non-electric, unmonitored, and spots cannot be reserved in advance.
Both have four motorhome spots. Both motorhome parks are located next to a swimming beach. Ahilampi also has a shelter and a firewood vending machine.
NOTE! Overnight stays and parking are only allowed in designated areas. Not everywhere in that area. For example, access to boat spots must remain unobstructed.
