Saunas and grill shelters
Firesites can be found all around Janakkala in various locations. Some are behind forest hiking trails, some alongside winter ski routes, some at swimming beaches, and some can be accessed by car. For a few huts, the owner occasionally supplies firewood, but to ensure fire safety, it is advisable to bring your own wood to most of them. At Ahilammi, there is a shed from which firewood can be obtained via mobile payment. The person who lights the fire is always responsible for it, and fires should not be lit if the risk of spreading is high, for example, due to wind or dry terrain. During the forest fire warning issued by the Meteorological Institute, open fires should never be lit.
The huts do not have winter maintenance unless otherwise stated.
