Annual events
Janakkala Baroque
A celebration of early music in the medieval setting of Tarinmaa at the turn of June and July. The program of the music festival is organized by the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra and is carried out in collaboration with the municipality and parish of Janakkala. There are family-friendly baroque events as well.
Janakkala Music Days
Janakkala Music Days has been providing a diverse concert series ranging from classical to pop music and children’s concerts across Janakkala for over 30 years. The music days resonate in March.
Taaran Market
Taaran Market takes you back in time with the atmospheric Laurinmäki crofter museum during the harvest season. The event is suitable for anyone interested in history and cultural heritage, regardless of age or status! Performances, lectures, concerts, and theater productions reveal history from various perspectives and eras. The market square features handmade crafts and harvest products.
Spring Revelry
The May event fills Turenki with activity and excitement. Markets, music, performances, and a cavalcade of vintage cars by Hämeen Mobilistit.
The event is organized by the municipality of Janakkala together with local businesses and associations.
Tervafest
Tervakoski hosts its own summer village event every year with music, market stalls, and good food. Bring a picnic blanket and come enjoy the summer atmosphere!
Christmas Opening in Laurinmäki
The Janakkala Christmas Opening in Laurinmäki kicks off the Christmas season at the end of November in the idyllic area of the crofter museum. The Christmas market features lovely gifts, treats, and decorations. The family event traditionally showcases joyful performances, and even Santa Claus visits Laurinmäki!
