Bus tickets, prices, and zones

The Hämeenlinna region uses the Waltti ticket and payment system. In Waltti, the area is divided into three fare zones: A, B, and C. Additionally, it is possible to travel from Tervakoski to Riihimäki (Riihimäki D zone).

When traveling within a single zone, changing from one bus to another is free for 80 minutes. For two zones, the transfer time is 90 minutes; for three zones, it is 100 minutes; and for four zones, it is 110 minutes.

Passengers can choose from various ticket options, with season tickets being the most economical for frequent travelers.

Single tickets, new season tickets, and additional value can be purchased on buses. Only cash is accepted as payment. Customers should try to have exact change, as the driver has a limited amount of change available.

Mobile ticket

With a mobile ticket, you can travel within the Hämeenlinna region’s Waltti services according to the purchased zones. The mobile ticket is purchased through the free Waltti mobile ticket app, which can be downloaded to smartphones from app stores (Google Play and Apple iStore).

Service transport Tassu bus

The service transport Tassu bus runs local bus routes in Janakkala on weekdays.

• The price of a single ticket for cash payment is €2.50.
• Children under 4 years old and veterans travel for free.

On Saturdays, service transport is also provided between Tervakoski and Riihimäki.

• The price of a single ticket for adults is €5.
• For children (4-12 years old) it is €2.50.

Service transport is open to everyone, and passengers can get on from anywhere along the route. The Tassu bus can also deviate from its route up to 2 km if needed and pick up from even the doorstep upon request. The driver will assist with boarding, disembarking, and carrying luggage if necessary.
