Janakkala is located at the center of Finland’s growth passage (kasvukäytävä), a logistical hotspot from which all of Southern Finland is easily accessible. The growth passage is the largest continuous working and economic area in the country, home to 41.5% of Finns and containing 43.9% of all businesses in Finland.

Approximately 950 companies operate in Janakkala, ranging from large factories to networked sole entrepreneurs. Janakkala’s industrial tradition is unique; the oldest still operating paper mill in Finland was established in Tervakoski in 1818, followed later by the famous sugar and ice cream factories in Turenki. Ice cream is still produced in Turenki.

Tervakoski

The business plots in Tervakoski, located in the southern part of Janakkala, are optimally situated between the motorway and the town. Transport connections are fast to all of Southern Finland, and traffic jams or traffic lights do not slow down travel.

Turenki

In Turenki, plots are available both right next to the town and in close proximity to the motorway at the MORE-Rastikangas business area.
